Sundowns Warn Supporters Against Misconduct Ahead of Sekhukhune Clash

Mamelodi Sundowns have issued a stern warning to a section of their supporters against misconduct ahead of their Betway Premiership away fixture against Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo.

The warning follows incidents involving a few ill-disciplined supporters who allegedly disrupted members of the Sundowns technical team as they were leaving the stadium after the club’s recent CAF Champions League match against Al Hilal.

“Sundowns has always encouraged active supporter participation and engagement, which must always be conducted with respect and courtesy,” said club Communications Manager, Shupi Kgadima.
He stressed that the club would not tolerate any form of threats, intimidation, or illegal behaviour by its supporters at any match.
“We will not tolerate any threats, illegal behaviour, or intimidation by any of our supporters or fans at any of our matches,” Kgadima said.

He added that appropriate legal or disciplinary action would be taken against individuals whose conduct is found to be illegal or in contravention of the policies and rules governing Mamelodi Sundowns supporters.
Kgadima further stated that the players and technical team remain focused on retaining the Betway Premiership title and competing successfully in all cup competitions.
“This can only be achieved with the support and encouragement of the Mamelodi Sundowns supporters,” he concluded.
