EFF Limpopo want action taken against ANC branch secretary’s alleged R450 000 corruption in Fetakgomo-Tubatse

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in  Limpopo is shocked and outraged by the allegations of corruption in Fetakgomo-Tubatse involving a service provider and officials in the municipality. We condemn these actions on the strongest possible terms, and we demand a thorough investigation.

Although at this stage details of the allegations are not yet fully obtained by the party, what we know for a fact is that the company in question is owned by the ANC ward 30 branch secretary, Prince Maluleke.

The alleged corrupt activities took place in a municipal project of electricity in the township of Mashifane Park in ward 25. Furthermore, we are aware that the company and the gentleman in question is not the first time they find themselves in allegations of this nature, in December 2024 the very same Prince Maluleke was accused of being involved in unfair tendering practice where he was paid R10 000 000.00 in highly suspicious payments again the involvement of municipal officials was questioned in that regard, as a result of this recent allegations we also call for forensic investigations in all the projects that Mr. Prince Maluleke was involved in rendering a social facilitation service as we suspect that price manipulation/inflation might have happens and in all this investigations, a report must be presented to the council by the Mayor within a reasonable time. This alleged corruption undermines the spirit of transparency, accountability, and good governance. We call on the municipality to:

  • Institute full independent investigation
  • Open criminal case against the service provider and officials involved
  • Suspend all implicated municipal officials
  • And take disciplinary actions against those found guilty
  • Remove permanently the service provider of the municipal database list and disqualify him from doing business with the institution in future.

The people of our municipality (a city to be) deserve better. We will continue to hold the ruling party and everyone else in government accountable and fight for clean governance.
