The dismantled body of missing 18-year old Zebediela wheelchair-bound found in a shallow grave

Limpopo Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 18-year-old wheelchair-bound Anna Makhukhu Ramollo from Ga-Rakgoatha village near Moletlane in the Zebediela area. This follows the gruesome discovery of a dismantled body on Thursday night, May 7.

Anna was reported missing together with her brother, Nakedi Ramollo (24), on Friday, May 1, 2026.

Her body was discovered on Thursday evening at about 7:34pm in a bush along the R519 road between Zebediela and Polokwane after a local farmer alerted police following reports from a shepherd who detected a foul smell while searching for cattle.

Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered a shallow grave covered with freshly cut tree branches. Further investigation led to the recovery of a decomposed and dismantled female body with severe injuries.

The body was transported to the Forensic Pathology Services for post-mortem examination and formal identification.

Police have since opened a murder case at South African Police Service Zebediela SAPS, while investigations relating to the disappearance of the siblings continue at Moletlane SAPS.

Police are still searching for Nakedi Ramollo (24), who they believe may assist in shedding light on the mysterious incident.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the police.

Hadebe has directed investigators to mobilise maximum resources to ensure the swift arrest of those responsible.

“This horrific act is deeply disturbing and heartless. The murder of a vulnerable, wheelchair-bound young woman is shocking and unacceptable. We appeal to communities to come forward with information that may assist police in tracing the suspects. Those responsible for this heinous crime will be hunted down and brought to justice,” said Hadebe
