Three male suspects arrested for armed robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm

A multi-disciplinary team comprising SAPS Namakgale and Lulekani Detectives has arrested three male suspects aged between 33 and 41 for armed robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm following an intelligence-driven operation conducted on Sunday, 11 January 2026.
Police were conducting tracking and tracing operations of armed robbery suspects within the Namakgale policing area when information was received regarding the whereabouts of the wanted suspects. Acting on the information, members proceeded to the identified location where the suspects were apprehended and found in possession of suspected stolen property, including a robbed cellphone.
Further preliminary investigations led police to Majenje Village, where an unlicensed firearm was recovered. A third suspect was subsequently arrested at a separate location.
